Building Your Layout
A guide to ballasting and laying track at the same time. Tim, a regular contributor to Model Railway Journal, takes us through the steps needed to lay and ballast track at the same time. The shoulder is produced using a home made tool. He also shows us how to produce ash ballast. The talk is illustrated with some shots of his High Wycombe layout set in 1955 where the track was laid in this way.

Building a diorama. During lockdown the club have run a challenge to build a diorama. Here is Paul's Dutch entry. The diorama must include bricks, stone, etc., trees, bushes, etc., and water. An excellent example with many tips and hints along the way.
