Bekonscot Model Village

With over 90 years of history, a huge model railway, 1.5 acres of well kept gardens and finely detailed model buildings Bekonscot is a great day out for everyone. Stuck in a 1930s time warp, see England how it used to be, & discover a wonderful little world tucked away from the hustle & bustle of everyday life.

Buckinghamshire Railway Centre

The London Railway Preservation Society, formed in 1962, arrived in 1969 to set up its permanent home. Since those early days both yards have been redeveloped to house around 170 items of locomotives and rolling stock and an adjacent Second World War Ministry of Food Buffer Depot has been taken over to display many items awaiting their turn in the restoration queue.

Chinnor and Princes Risborough Railway

The Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway is an Award Winning heritage railway with its main station at Chinnor on the border between Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire, England. A great destination for a family day-out. Plenty of parking, station cafe and gift shop. Visit the website for further details on special events, opening times and train timetable.

Cholsey & Wallingford Railway

Enjoy a Heritage train ride on our rural branchline that was first opened in 1866. Our line runs through the beautiful countryside of South Oxfordshire and links the historic riverside town of Wallingford with GWR trains at Cholsey. Travel on our 1950s coaches, hauled by one of our Heritage diesels locomotives or by a visiting steam engine.

Didcot Railway Centre

Explore the unique collection of Great Western Railway steam locomotives, carriages, wagons, buildings and small artefacts at our 21 acre living museum set around the original 1932 Engine Shed.

Leighton Buzzard Railway

Welcome to 'England's Friendly Little Line'. We are Bedfordshire's premier heritage railway attraction, running trains along our three-mile line up to five times a week from March to October, with Santa Specials in December. The Leighton Buzzard Railway is one of the last survivors of the hundreds of 2 foot (610mm) gauge light railways built in Britain for industrial use. It is believed to be the only remaining line which owed its existence to the ready availability of surplus materials and equipment from the First World War battlefield supply lines.

Pendon Museum

Pendon Museum is many things; it displays the countryside buildings and transport of the 1930s Vale of White Horse and Dartmoor, all in meticulously modelled 4mm scale EM Gauge. It’s a lovely afternoon out for a family trip even if they are not interested in trains particularly, but like to see something different. And for many, it’s the ultimate model railway to watch the trains go by. Come and visit our website for much, much more.
